The application to organize world bicycle forum was done by the representative of Cycle City Network Nepal in 2018 in FMB7, with support of many institutions with the commitment to establish a national committee to organize World Bicycle Forum.
As per the commitment, the First National Assembly was organized in Kathmandu on February 16, 2019· The Assembly established a 17 member national committee for the organization of World Bicycle Forum consisting of representatives from 8 different cities of Nepal in leadership of Pushkar Shah, a nepali who rode around the world on his bicycle in 11 years with the message of peace. Other members were Usha Titikshu, Uttam Manandhar, Kamala Pun, Shree Pd. Budhathoki, Sailendra Dongol, Sweta Pandey, Shail Shrestha, Ratna Ram Shrestha from Kathmandu, Som Raj Rana-Lamjung, Nabin Kharel and Dharma Raj Sapkota -Chitwan, Satish Niraula-Nepalgunj, Bharat Shah-Dhangadhi, Prakash Bajracharya-Pokhara, Manish Shrestha,-Dhulikhel, Bikash Tamrakar-Hetauda. Nivesh Dugar was also added to the team after being proposed in the committee. The team continued to work on planning, preparation and promotion of the event. After the impact of Covid pandemic, the structure and working modality was reshuffled and a execution committee was formed to executive the virtual forum though a virtual public meeting on June 5,2020.
